Now Ban Ki-Moon is on the warpath against Israel, too. ‘Israel must fundamentally change its policies,” he said, adding that he was heartened by the Community Organizer’s stand against Judea and Samaria.

Actually he used the “S” word – “settlements”. Here, we say Judea and Samaria, which are integral parts of historic Israel and must, absolutely, be considered a part of Modern Israel.

Without wading into international law too deeply, keep in mind at after the Six Day War (1967) -- when Israel had been attacked and was forced to defend itself by taking control of Judea and Samaria -- those areas weren’t then under the legal control of ANY country. So there’s no reason why Israel doesn’t have just as much right to the area as anyone else.

So Ban Ki-Moon joins the French, the Germans and of course the Arabs in trying to set housing policy within Israel – not to mention our major nemesis, the US. Well, you can judge a man (or a country) by his enemies as well as his friends. So be it.

The hypocrisy is so outrageous as to be almost funny, though. Remember when the Community Organizer spoke to the G-20 Summit last April. Back then, his teleprompter read that the US should "forge partnerships as opposed to simply dictating solutions." Beyond that, whoever writes the Community Organizer’s material promised that from that point on, America would "start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating."

That doesn’t apply to Israel. To us, the Community Organizer demands – demands! – no further construction of any kind in Judea and Samaria. As George Mitchell, his Middle East czar said, “The president doesn't want to see even one cement mixer in the West Bank."

Can you imagine what would happen if the Community Organizer were intent on dictating to us?

And another funny thing: When ‘Thank-G-d-for-loose-cannon Avigdor Lieberman’ announced that Israel would not abide by the “Annapolis Process” – the Arabs had never agreed to any of it, and the Israeli Knesset never approved it – the world went nuts. Outrageous! How could the Foreign Minister say such a thing? After all, a previous Prime Minister had consented – which in Israel means nothing. The approval of the Knesset is required.

But when the policy in question is that of the US, then the Community Organizer takes a different position: He sent his pit bull Missus Bubba out to convey his latest edict: The US will no longer honor long-standing US commitments to Israel regarding Judea and Samaria.

Ever since President Bubba's Camp David negotiations in 2000, all the way through both Republican and Democrat administrations up to now, the idea that in any “final settlement agreement” – whenever and whatever – Israel would keep portions of Judea and Samaria. That’s only rational: hundreds of thousands of Jews live there, in established cities – not to mention parts of Jerusalem proper. Several letters of understanding were exchanged between the US and Israel on that topic, and in 2004, Congress itself ratified them.

Now? The Community Organizer says he has no intention of respecting any of that.

So tell me: why would anyone – Israel or any other country – enter into any kind of an agreement with the US, so long as the Community Organizer is at the helm? Obviously he believes himself to be above the law – all of it. He’s not bound by anything.

This guy is scary, you know? If he doesn’t respect Congressionally-ratified US law as applied to foreign countries, what makes anyone think he would respect the rule of law in the US, as applied to citizens?

But here’s another really funny thing – the truth is, the Arabs aren’t any happier with Hussein Obama than Israel is. Why? Because they expected him to force Israel to hand over Judea and Samaria, just like that. And they understand – even if the Community Organizer doesn’t – that’s simply not going to happen.

To paraphrase the Bard as the Irish do, ‘A rotting lily stinks worse than a weed.’ The friend who turns against you is worse than the one who was an enemy from the start.

Good news came from a Ma’agar Mohot poll published this morning: Israelis are standing firm against the rest of the world.

Polled were Israelis (Arabs and Jews) who live outside Judea and Samaria – keep that in mind:

-- 70% said NO communities in the West Bank should be evacuated.
-- 82% said they wouldn’t support any anti-Judea or Samaria groups.
-- 80% said they’d never demonstrate against Jews living in Judea or Samaria.

Given the fact that Israelis are foremost among the “two Jews, three opinions” crowd, that’s significant.

We hardly ever agree on anything at all. But in standing strong for our brothers and sisters who live in Judea and Samaria, we’re united.

Okay, so let's talk about 'Obamanomics'

First of all, I thank Cheryl who commented on my previous blog for her very kind kid-glove reprimand to the effect that I shouldn’t be commenting on the specific reasons for the failure of BabagaNewz. She didn't say it directly, but she was right. I was just a freelancer, for crying out loud. Not privy to those kinds of issues. You’re right, Cheryl. WHAP! Thanks! I needed that.

That said, speaking generally now, not discussing any specific business situation, there is justification to what I said.

Regarding the “Madoff situation”, there’s no question that donations to all Jewish causes became far, far more difficult to come by after that imbroglio. There was most definitely a trickle-down effect, in that even institutions that hadn’t lost a cent as a direct result of Madoff’s schemes had trouble – are having trouble – raising money because the pool of dollars available for all Jewish causes is now drastically reduced. Not only is there far less money available, but the need has grown far greater.

Regarding Obamomics, however, I stand firm. The economic policies of the Community Organizer are directly responsible for the closure of heaven-only-knows-how-many business, big and small, all across the country. Even though he didn’t take office until January 20. Why?

Because many of those businesses could have held on, would have tried to hold on – would have battened down the hatches and tried to weather the economic storm if…. IF… they thought there was hope for a reasonably quick recovery out there. But even before the election was final, the Community Organizer was outlining his economic policies, his plan for “recovery”. From that moment on, business – Wall Street – knew that day by day, hope for recovery was diminishing.

So for businesses in a shaky financial condition, there was no point in holding on, in postponing the inevitable. They faced the inevitable and threw in the towel. They shut down.

The problem was, Hussein Obama was doing exactly the opposite of what he needed to do to spark a recovery. The day after the election the Dow dropped almost 500 points – the biggest post-election drop in history.

Celebrity-obsessed US voters may have been enchanted by the handsome man who read so eloquently from his teleprompter, but business knew better. This guy is a worse than an empty suit, he’s a complete nincompoop. If he did even half of the things he said he was going to do, the US was in for a very long and painful period.

And as it turned out, of course, once the Community Organizer was under full sail, he turned out to be even worse than he sounded before and right after the election.

The insane bailouts, throwing billions of non-existent dollars at everything that moved, the crazy printing of funny money to drive inflation up, the taking over the management of huge corporations, turning of General Motors into Government Motors, the mortgaging of our grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s future …… and all for what? To fix the Democrat party in place as the source of all well being. To make everyone dependent on government for their livelihood.

It’s enough to make you weep. Or move to Israel, if you aren’t already here.

So can the Community Organizer be held responsible for the myriad of business closures --- which is still getting worse, by the way, not better – even though he didn’t take office until January 20? Of course. A wiser hand at the helm would have done things differently.

No country ever taxed itself out of a recession. And if you think the Post Office is the ideal business operation, then you’ll love what the government does to all the formerly-private corporations they’re now going to manage. Once they start deciding who gets to see a doctor and who doesn’t, things will really get interesting.

In regard to who created this mess in the first place, don’t even try to shove all the blame off on Bush. It was Barney Frank and his fellow travelers in the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives who take first responsibility.

It was they – and not Bush – who forced mortgage companies to grant home loans to people who clearly couldn’t afford them, on the theory that even poor people deserve to own mansions.

Frank & Co had plenty of help, of course, from lily-livered scared of their own shadow Republicans, but when looking who to blame, start off with Barney Frank.

Back to Sderot again.

I’ve spent considerable time in much-bombed out Sderot, the Negev community that’s borne the brunt of Arab terrorist missiles fired from Aza for the last nine years.

I won’t repeat the whole story of poor Sderot or about its incredibly brave and stalwart residents again. I'm sure most of you know about that beleaguered place by now.

This next week I’m off to Sderot again, on another assignment. But as I gear up to go back, I’m realizing that something very strange has happened. Something I certainly didn’t expect.

It all started many months ago, when I’d been in Sderot writing a piece for BabagaNewz, the premier English-language Jewish-kids magazine in the US. To BabagaNewz eternal credit, they wanted to tell American kids exactly what life was like for the kids in Sderot. No holds barred. “Tell what it's like for the kids who live there. What it's like to have sirens and missiles aimed at you every day,” the editor said. Amazing. Now THAT was a fine editor.

So I went, and became friends with a marvelous lady, mother of six, a beautiful lady named Atara. I interviewed her, her kids, several of their friends and their kids, then went home and wrote the piece. But she was such a nice lady, so we kept in touch – I’d call every now and then, just to see how they were doing.

One time I called it was right around Purim, which is a traditional time for giving gifts of candy and sweets. I was wondering if there was anything I could send that would help make the holiday a little brighter for the Sderot kids, who serve on Israel’s front lines every day of their lives.

Atara laughed, then said that her kids – and virtually every other kid in Sderot – had received enough gift baskets of candy to last for the next three years. They’d also received costumes, she said with a sigh. Many costumes. More than any kid could wear.

“So I guess I shouldn’t send candy, huh?” I laughed. She paused, choosing her words carefully. “I can’t tell you how grateful we are -- how grateful everyone here is – for all the gifts that have poured in,” she said. “People are so kind. But I have to tell you, just the other day, I found myself wishing that they’d given us a year’s worth of dental treatments, too.”

“So what do you need?” I asked. “Is there anything?”

“You know what we really need?” she said. “We need a bookmobile. The thing is, all the kids stay in the house most of the time, because it’s too dangerous to go outside. Many of us don’t have television, so they read. But all the kids I know have gone through every book they have. My kids are constantly begging to go to the library, but they can’t walk there on their own – it’s too dangerous to let them go that far, alone. So they have to wait until I have time to take them. But it we had a bookmobile, a van or something that would drive to the neighborhoods, park, and let the kids come in and exchange their library books for new ones, that would be a really great thing.”

What a marvelous idea! So I sent an email to the BabagaNewz editor, saying, “Wouldn’t that be a great project for the kids of America? To raise money for a van of some kind, fill it with books of all kinds, and give as a special gift of love from America to the house-bound kids in Sderot?”

She agreed – she took it to their Board, and they agreed. It was all decided. When the autumn came, they’d gear up, and make it a BabagaNewz project, nationwide. “A Bookmobile for Sderot”!

What happened then? Economic chaos in the US, plus the Bernie Madoff situation, which meant that charitable donations of all kinds, from almost everywhere, were drying up.

As the economic disaster trickled down, the worst blow of all landed – BabagaNewz, the finest Jewish kids’ magazine in history – was forced to close its doors.

Ah, I wish you could have seen that magazine – it was the best. Just a blast of color, with great stories, puzzles, quizzes, all kinds of interesting things for kids to do and think about, with the best graphics ever. No one could ignore that magazine.

But with financial support gone, it couldn’t keep publishing. After 20-something years in business, BabagaNewz was history.

Whooda thunk it?

It’s kinda funny, when you think about it. To this day, Sderot is still being attacked by the Arab terrorists in Aza, but it’s alive and well.

But American BabagaNewz, which had been around so long it seemed like an institution, was gone. Done in not by terrorists but by a self-centered huckster, with the final blow dealt by Obamanimics.

I sure didn’t see that one coming. Life is a constant surprise.

I wonder what will be with Barack Obama?

Before Tzvi Fishman moved to Israel in 1984, he was a successful Hollywood screenwriter. He also wrote one of my favorite books, the delightful “Tuvia in the Promised Land” which takes up where “Fiddler on the Roof” left off.

Back on November 19, 2007, Reb Fishman asked an interesting question, “What will happen to Ehud Olmert?”

At that time, as you may or may not remember, Ehud Olmert was Prime Minister of Israel and was intent on punishing Jews who lived in Judea and Samaria, and was trying as hard as he could to give away parts of Israel to its most dedicated enemies.

In Fishman’s words, Olmert had “… ordered a stop to all settlement, and (was) scheming to divide Jerusalem and surrender all of the heartland of Biblical Israel to murderers, liars and thieves.”

“What will be with Ehud Olmert?” Fishman asked, and then set forth a concise chronicle of what had happened to former Israeli Prime Ministers who had tried to alienate Jews from their homeland.

 Menachem Begin, he noted, razed the Jewish settlement of Yamit and surrendered Sinai to the Egyptians. After that, Begin’s beloved wife passed away and he ended his days a broken man, in a deep and terrible depression.

 Yitzhak Rabin, Fishman noted, had given guns and chunks of the Holy Land to arch terrorist Yasser Arafat. Following that, Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.

 Ariel Sharon -- who to this day lies in PVS (permanent vegetative state) – had his brain destroyed after the disastrous “disengagement” in which he gave Aza to the Hamas terrorists and destroyed settlements in Samaria.


So back in November, 2007, as then-Prime Minister Ehud Olmert plotted to divide Jerusalem and turn over Judea and Samaria to our enemies, Fishman wondered: So what will happen to Ehud Olmert?

Well, now we know.

At this writing, Ehud Olmert is in a US hospital undergoing cancer surgery. Not only that, but his corrupt dealings during his political career have not been forgotten. Just the other day, his attorneys petitioned the court to have further hearings on just one of his nefarious schemes delayed while Olmert is hospitalized, but this time the court ruled no, the hearing could no longer be deferred.

Suffering from cancer and knowing that for the rest of his life, however long he lives, he will either be in prison for his misdeeds, or daily facing a cadre of lawyers as he struggles to stay out, Olmert has joined his predecessors. The chickens have come home to roost for Ehud Olmert, too.

Tsk, tsk.

So now I wonder: What will happen to the mighty Barack Obama, as he too tries to savage little Israel, and demands an end to settlements?

You’d think that by now, world leaders would be a little wary, wouldn’t you?

You’d think they could learn from history, even if they’ve never heard of Genesis 12:

“And G-d said to Avram, 'Lech Lecha, Go for your benefit and leave your land, from our birthplace and from your father's home and head for the land that I will show you. And I will transform you into a great nation and I will bless you, and make you well known and you will be a blessing.

And those who bless you, I will bless; and those who curse you, I will curse—and blessing and goodness will come to all the families of the earth, through you."

I am a settler in Beersheba

Bibi and the Community Organizer are at loggerheads – thank goodness.

Without question, Iran is what should be causing sleepless nights for the Community Organizer. If he cared anything at all for his American constituents, that’s where he’d focus his attention.

But instead, he’s got “Israeli Settlements” in his crosshairs. The “Settlements”, as he and Missus Bubba chant, over and over, are the “obstacle to peace”.

What’s a “settlement”? Why is Israel so protective of them – and why is the Community Organizer so hell-bent on eliminating them?

Like many Zionists, I consider myself a “settler”. Why? Because as far as the Arabs are concerned, there is no difference between the area where I live, Beersheba, in the northern Negev, and what he calls “settlements” in Judea and Samaria. They want it all.

But when the Community Organizer talks about “settlements” what he means are the population centers in “Yesha” which is an acronym for Judea and Samaria – actually for Aza, Judea and Samaria, but Israel stupidly gave away Aza, so now only Judea and Samaria remain.

Another term you’ll see is the “West Bank”, i.e. the west bank of the Jordan River. “Disputed territories” is another appellation, because while the area came under the control of Israel after the 1967 war, Israel never, unfortunately, annexed the area. (Our enemies like to refer to the area as “occupied territories”. I won’t even justify that with a comment.)

Roughly speaking, in the map of the “West Bank” above, “Judea” is the green territory south of Jerusalem, while “Samaria” is the land area north of the City.

Understanding what’s at issue here starts with the aftermath of the 1967 “Six Day War”.

Sharpe discusses a memorandum issued by the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff right after the 1967 Six Day War. They concluded that in any peace settlement between Israel and the Arabs, Israel absolutely must retain and control certain territories if it was to survive.

Which territories? The minimum defensible borders, as the Joint Chiefs stated, included the “West Bank” as pictured above, plus Aza, plus parts of the Sinai Peninsula. Without those buffer zones, they said, Israel could not defend itself.

So what happened?

In 1979, Menachem Begin, to his everlasting shame, gave the Sinai to Egypt in return for a sort of “peace”.

In 2000, Prime Minister Ehud Barak (now Israel's Defense Minister) withdrew from southern Lebanon, which permitted the terrorist Hezbollah to take over, which resulted in the 2006 Second Lebanon War. That war ended when Israel quit fighting, which means that today Hezbollah looms as a greater threat now than they were before.

In 2005, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, trying to appease the leftist media and save himself from indictment for corruption, “disengaged” from Aza. Predictably, the Hamas terrorists rushed in to fill the vacuum, where they continue to fire rockets and missiles into Israel – including one yesterday, by the way.

Now the Community Organizer is fixated on having Israel give up what remains of Judea and Samaria.

Israel cannot – and will not – obey. The reason is simple: without the West Bank, with its strategic mountain ridges that directly overlook Israel’s major population centers, Israel itself would be militarily indefensible.

Equally critical is that 80% of Israel’s fresh water supply comes from this area, from the Golan Heights. You don’t need to be a military genius to realize that turning over your source of drinking water to people sworn to your destruction would constitute your last mistake.

So. No matter how strongly the Community Organizer threatens -- how much he says he’ll withdraw UN support for Israel, or suggests he’ll halt loan guarantees, or that he’ll stop selling Israel military supplies – no matter how he tries to bring down the Netanyahu administration, or finds new ways to strut and fret his hour on the stage, Israel will not turn Judea and Samaria over to its enemies.

About 275,000 courageous Jews live in several major population centers in Judea and Samaria. As their populations grow, they need to expand. There’s no reason in the world why they shouldn’t – after all, Arabs live in the West Bank, too. They’re building and expanding just like we are.

All that said, it’s either sheer insanity or willful ignorance to suggest that the “settlements” are “obstacles to peace,” or that limiting settlement growth would end the Arab hostility toward Israel. Even if – G-d forbid – a “peace agreement” were signed and the “territories” turned over to Israel’s enemies, “peace” will not result.

Understand: The conflict in the Middle East has nothing to do with “territories”.

The conflict here is a religious war, pure and simple. The Islamists simply will not permit a non-Muslim state to exist in this part of the world. Giving them additional land masses doesn’t solve anything at all. All it does is encourage them.

Bottom line: Israel is not required to commit national suicide just because the Community Organizer demands it.

The 'Nakba' of the 'Nakba' celebrations

It won’t surprise many of you to hear that there aren’t very many things about which I don’t have an opinion. Usually a strong one.

But one controversial issue has been hotly debated around here, and try as I might, I can’t come up with a strong position on either side.

At issue are the annual ‘Nakba’ celebrations held by Israeli Arabs on May 15, the day after Israeli Independence Day. In Arabic, ‘nakba’ means ‘catastrophe’. So as Jews and their friends the world over celebrate the birth of the Jewish State, Arabs observe the day of Israel’s creation as a ‘catastrophe’.

What do the Arabs do? They hold public events to mourn the creation of the State of Israel, like the one above, taken in Ramallah, home of arch terrorist and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Yasser Arafat. They fly black flags, they hold rallies, they march, protest and in general carry on in ways designed to let you – and most especially television audiences the world over - know how miserable they are.

Which is offensive, no question about that. It’s especially stupid because for 100% of them, if they are so miserable here, can move a few miles in any direction and live in the country they came from, with the family members who still live there. If Israeli Arabs are so miserable here, there’s no reason at all for them to stay.

But of course the truth is – as many if not most of them acknowledge in private – they live far better under Israeli government than they would in any Arab state. They have not only a higher standard of living, access to better work, education and health care, but they also enjoy far more democratic freedoms under the Israel they hate than they would in the repressive Arab countries from whence they came.

Still. Observing the ‘nakba’ is something they do – part of the plan to destroy Israel, which, as noted, makes no sense at all. (But then lots of things over here make no sense….)

So this year, MK Alex Miller of the Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel is our Home) party introduced legislation to make public events mourning the creation of the State of Israel illegal. Individuals would be able to mourn privately, if they wished, but protests, marches and other public events would be outlawed, with three years in prison as the punishment, should they violate the law.

Miller makes good sense, I have to admit that. Those who mourn Israel's creation should not do so while benefiting from the state's existence, he says. If they need to mourn, they can go elsewhere and do it. “Whoever wants to support the enemy and mourn the creation of the state of Israel is invited to do so with our neighbors in Gaza.”

Now that strikes me as a very good idea, indeed. Let them go there to mourn, and then just stay. Sounds good to me.

Miller makes another excellent point: Increasingly, the protests are becoming violent and are used as an excuse to attack Jews and Jewish institutions. “Over the past several years we're also witness to annual violent events and riots in the framework of 'Nakba day protests,” he says, and of course we all know who pays for the damage, the police protection and all other costs involved in such anti-State activity.

Miller’s bill was debated in the Knesset and was ultimately defeated, although the fight may not be over forever.

The most effective opposition came from three Likud members, one of whom -- Benny Begin -- is clearly one of the best MK’s in the current Knesset, known for sound values and strong common sense. The three – the other two are Michael Eitan and Dan Meridor, for you Israeli Knesset-watchers -- argue that the proposal "is not compatible with the freedom of speech which is accepted in Israel as a democratic Jewish state."

Well, see? I agree with that, too. Certainly life would be better if there were no more public ‘nakba’ celebrations. Certainly the cash-strapped government of Israel could find better things to spend its money on than guarding Arabs from us and from each other, and from destroying property. But I’m not convinced that it’s worth curtailing these idiot’s right to demonstrate and carry on.

The problem of restricting freedom of speech – and yes, for you strict constructionists out there, I too believe that “speech” and “action” are two entirely different things and ought to be treated as such. Still, the problem of restricting the Arab’s freedom to publically display their incredible hypocrisy most probably means that next time, when my own fellow travelers – the right wingers – want to demonstrate or protest, we, too, might end up being arrested and tried. (Which already happens, by the way. But let’s just pretend that Lady Justice is blindfolded here, too, just as she used to be in the US)

So for me, this debate falls into the same category as did the debate over flag burning in the US. Remember?

Back in 2006, when an Amendment to the US Constitution to criminalize flag burning was simmering brightly, there was a lot of similar talk.

What do you do? Criminalize the destruction of US flags as a means of protest? Or is that an unwarranted abridgement of freedom of speech?

I guess I ultimately came down on the side of the wag who made a much simpler suggestion: Why not just mandate that all US flags be made of non-flammable fabric?

Great idea.

But in the flag-burning controversy as in this, the ‘nakba’ debate, I don’t really have an opinion, or not a strong one, anyway.

I see both sides.

The NEW Israel, according to the Community Organizer

The holiday celebration is over, we’re back to reality – and a depressing reality it is.

The above map is what the Community Organizer is intent on foisting on Israel. Think that looks like a viable entity? When the surrounding areas are all openly repeating their long-standing intention to eliminate Israel entirely?

The Arab terrorist Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) scored a hit with the Community Organizer in their gab fest late last week. The Arabs were cheering mightily over the assurance they’d received that the Community Organizer will work to bring about the fall of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“It will take a couple of years" for this American pressure to force Netanyahu from office, the Washington Post quoted one of Abbas's officials as saying. The President’s plan, apparently, is to force Bibi to accept the Final, Final solution of the Jewish problem by accepting a “two state” scenario.

Then, with Bibi gone, Israel can be forced to accept other elements of the Final Solution, like agreeing to “right of return” for all the Arabs -- plus their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who left back in 1948. About 600,000 Arabs left Israel during that first war – about the same number of Jews who were expelled from Arab countries, coincidentally.

The descendents of the Arabs who fled have been kept in permanent ‘refugee’ status by the Arabs for purely political reasons. They now number somewhere between 2.4 million and 5 million, depending on whose statistics you use. Obviously if Israel, with about 6 million Jews (and over a million Arabs already) were to accept as citizens another five million Arabs, it would cease to be what it was created to be – a safe haven for Jews around the world. It would become just another Arab state.

But here’s the thing: The fact that the Arabs look forward to dealing with a weaker Prime Minister than Bibi is one thing. What’s totally astonishing is that the ultra-chutzpadik American President plans to help depose the elected head of the only pro-western democracy in the Middle East!

Again, the good news is that at least we know where we stand. Not only is America not our ally anymore. Now America is openly committed to overthrowing our government in favor of America’s new friends, the Arab terrorist regimes.

And just in case there was any doubt, Missus Bubba went on the record to “clarify” the Community Organizer’s remarks, issuing a totally unprecedented statement in which she demanded – demanded! – that Israel stop all construction, of any kind, in established Jewish communities not only in Yesha (Judea and Samaria) but also in Jerusalem.

That’s beyond outrageous. Who do these two think they are? They set out to destroy the elected government of an ally. They “demand” that Israel, an independent nation not beholden to the US at all, follow their dictates on housing policy.

You gotta laugh, though. Israeli officials are furious, but even they can see the humor:

Israeli Government Press Director Daniel Seamen reacted by saying: “I have to admire the residents of Iroquois territory for assuming that they have a right to determine where Jews should live in Jerusalem.”
